Municipal Elections-2018: Randomization of EVMs held in Anantnag

ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 25: According to the District Election Officer Anantnag, the randomization of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for Municipal Elections–2018 shall be held from September 29, 2018.

The randomization shall be held in respect of one Municipal Council Anantnag and nine Municipal Committees falling in the district at the Deputy Commissioners’ Office Anantnag.

Under phase 1st, the first randomization of EVMs will be held on September 29 at 11 am for the Municipal Committees of Achabal, Kokernag and Qazigund. Whereas, second randomization of EVMs for the said Committees shall be conducted on October 03at 2 pm.

Under phase second, the first randomization of EVMs for Municipal Council Anantnag and Municipal Committee Bijbehara will be held on October 03 at 11 am and the second randomization of EVMs on October 05 at 2 pm.

Similarly, the 1st EVM randomization for the third phase for the Municipal Committees of Mattan, Pahalgam, Aishmuqam and Seer Hamdan will be conducted on October 04 at 11 am and the 2nd EVM randomization for the said Committees will be held on October 09at 2 pm.

For the 4th and last phase, 1st randomization of EVMs for Municipal Committees of Duru and Verinag will be conducted on October 06 and 2ndrandomization on October 11 at 2 pm.

All the concerned contesting candidates, as well as representatives of recognised political parties, have been asked to attend the randomization process on the aforementioned dates, time and venue.
