Kangan, Sep 23: The traffic movement on Sonamarg-Drass stretch of Srinagar-Leh highway was restored Sunday afternoon hours after it was suspended today morning.
A traffic police official said the traffic movement has been restored from both the sides after the improvement in the weather conditions in the area.
The traffic movement was earlier suspended on the stretch as a precautionary measure in view of inclement weather forecast and fresh rains in Zojila area.
“After the weather turned favorable for traffic movement in Zojila area, the traffic movement was first allowed from Gumri to Sonamarg early afternoon, and from Sonamarg to Gumri at 3 pm,” he added.
