Srinagar: Unidentified persons set afire three panchayat ghars in different parts of Kashmir Valley on Thursday. While two attempts were partially foiled by locals, one panchayat ghar got completely gutted.
Reports reaching here said that unidentified persons tried to set ablaze a panchayat ghar at Ashmuji in Kulgam. The locals, however, rushed immediately and doused the fire.
Another panchayat ghar at Pehlepora, Keller Shopian was completely gutted as some unidentified persons set it ablaze.
Yet another panchayat ghar was targeted at Borwa, Chadoora in central Kashmir late Thursday evening.
Locals rushed to the spot and doused the fires. The building was partially damaged.
