PULWAMA, SEPTEMBER 15: Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Pulwama today organised a grand function to celebrate its annual day in which District Development Commissioner Pulwama G M Dar was the Chief Guest.
Speaking on the Occasion, DDC urged students to work hard, both in academics and sports domain, as education is the only way by which we can prove ourselves in different fields of life. He said every religion has given importance to the women education and our endeavor is to carry forward it.”
He said that government is committed to providing every facility to the students so that they can compete in different competitive Exams. DDC said that District Pulwama has been historically on the forefront of educational pursuit and has produced personalities with leadership qualities in all walks of life.
The DDC also allotted Rs 5 lakh for constructing the second storey of the waiting hall of the school. He ensured school administration that library cum reading room facility will also be established for the students.
G M Dar also distributed cheques among the talented girl students of the school who have shown their talent in academics and sports fields.
Zonal education officer Pulwama, Principal Girls Higher Secondary School, Staff, students and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
