President Teachers Joint Action Committee (TJAC) and senior trade union leader, Abdul Qayoom Wani alleged that no representative from the government so far visited protesting teachers to know their plight.

Wani who also heads Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) said that SSA and RMSA teachers’ indefinite hunger strike will continue until the government comes clear over their demands.

“We are going to hold a mega rally from Pratap Park to Raj Bhawan on 16th of September while in Jammu mega demonstrations will be held same day in which 20,000 teachers will take part,” added Wani.

TJAC president went on to say that they will not succumb to any pressure tactic and will continue  with their strike till the government formally approves SSA and RMSA teacher’s demands.
