Sopore: Two militants have been killed in the five hour long gunfight in Mohalla Teliyan Armypora Sopore on Thurday.
The government forces today afternoon ended the operation after recovering two militant dead bodies from the encounter site.
Speaking to Kashmir Images Senior Superintendent of Police Sopore Javaid Iqbal said ,” On specific inputs about presence of militants, SOG Sopore , 22RR and CRPF laid a cordon during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday in Teliyan Arampora Sopore. Soon after forces approached towards the house where militants were hiding, they opened indiscriminate fire on forces and thereby triggering an encounter.”
“In the five hour long gunfight two militants of Jaish Mohammad outfit got killed,” he said adding that forces recovered bodies of two militants from the debris whose indentity is yet to be ascertained
