Kupwara, Sep 12: A teacher was placed under suspension for allegedly attempting to molest a student at a school in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, an official said today.
Reports said the accused teacher attempted to molest the student at government upper primary school Lilam Vilgam village. However, the girl raised an alarm following which other students rushed for her help.
An official said the teacher was suspended and attached to the office of Deputy Chief Education Office Handwara till further orders.
“We have placed the said teacher under suspension and inquiry has been launched to probe the incident. Deputy CEO has been made inquiry officer,” said CEO Kupwara Shafiq Nabi War.
