Govt Boys Model HSS Anantnag celebrates Annual Day

ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 11: Government Boys Model Higher Secondary School Anantnag today celebrated its Annual Day in which Joint Director Education South Kashmir Dr Nasir Ahmad Lone was the Chief Guest of the function.

On the occasion various cultural programmes were presented by the students of this institution and by the students from other neighbouring institutions.

While addressing the audience, the Dr Nasir Ahmad Lone, who is also the in charge Chief Education Officer Anantnag, said that organising Annual Days by institutions provide an opportunity to the students to expose their talents in various fields. He added that apart from class room learning students should be exposed to other co-curricular activities for their overall development. He said that a greater responsibility lies on the shoulders of a teacher to shape the career of a student.

He assured that all required facilities and support will be provided to the students displaying talent in different fields like art, culture, crafts and other related

Later medals and certificates were distributed among the student participants. Earlier Principal of the institution formally welcomed the guests.

Among others, the function was attended by various retired teachers, scholars and civilians of the district.
