SRINAGAR, AUGUST 20: Principal Secretary Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Dr Asgar Samoon today convened a meeting to review the progress for the establishment of Aquarium cum Aqua Park at Botanical Garden Srinagar coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 30 crore.

The meeting was attended by Director Fisheries R N Pandita, Additional Secretary to Government Housing and Urban Development Department, Director Area Planning, Joint Director Fisheries, Deputy Director Floriculture and other officials.

Asgar Samoon said that the project will promote tourism in the State, particularly in Kashmir. He said that the visitors will have a chance to experience the spectacular water world and varied organisms found in the water. Furthermore, it will also researchers to study ornamental fish species.
