SSP Traffic City reviews traffic arrangements ahead of Eid-Ul-Azha

Srinagar, 19 Aug: In the wake of Eid-Ul-Azha celebrations, SSP Traffic city, Tahir Gillani, on Sunday visited various places of Srinagar to take the stock of traffic arrangements while encouraging the traffic cops to ensure hassle-free traffic movement on the eve of Eid.

In statement issued here, a  police spokesman said, “SSP Traffic round up some traffic staff near Abdullah bridge, Radio Station chowk etc. guiding traffic personals how to effectively handle traffic and also to make sure that traffic doesn’t gets disrupted causing unnecessary jams resulting in suffering to General masses.”

“Our main concern is on Safety while driving and every Commuters/General public reached on their destination well in time,” the spokesman quoted SSP as saying.

“ASP (T) City Mubashir Hussain stated that public cooperation is equally important in adherence to traffic Rules for the smooth regulation of Traffic in the Srinagar City. And further added that we are expecting a huge crowd in the Coming days due to Eid Celebrations and sufficient traffic officials will be deployed,” reads the statement.

“In order to keep a check on violations of Traffic Rules in & around the Srinagar City in coming days, different teams have been constituted,” the statement added.

The police spokesman said, “These teams have been led by Mohammad Farooq Reshi DySP (T) City North, Sajjad Ahmad Sheikh DySP (T) City South and Raies Ahmad DySP (T) City West Srinagar under the supervision of Mubashir Hussain ASP (T) City Srinagar and under the overall supervision of SSP Traffic City Srinagar Tahir Gillani JKPS.”
