After Congress announced list of new District Presidents, District Congress Committee Ganderbal today coronated its new President Sahil Farooq.
The coronation ceremony was chaired by former MLC and Congress leader Haji Ali Mohd Bhat, former District President Gh. Mohd Ganie and District Vice President Gh Nabi Mir and was attended by other party workers.
Sahil Farooq in his address emphasized to strengthening the party base in Ganderbal and highlighted the problems faced by people across the state more particularly in Kashmir on all fronts, like erosion of special status and non performance of government to provide basic essential service to general public and other important issues related to public welfare.
The convention unanimously appreciated the clear stand taken by the party leadership on various issues especially that of Article 35-A, Article 370 and various other issues that directly affect the rights and dignity of the people of the state.
