Kashmir University orders probe after scuffle among students

Srinagar, Aug 09: Dean College Development Council (DCDC) University of Kashmir Prof Nilofer Khan has been appointed as new Registrar relieving Prof Khursheed Bhat of Department of Commerce of the additional charge of Registrar. An order to this effect was issued on today.

Pertinently, Prof Nilofar Khan, who is also Coordinator Women’s Studies Centre KU, has been former Dean Students Welfare, former Dean Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology and former Director Institute of Home Sciences.

In a separate order Dr Tanveer Ahmad Shah, Joint Registrar, Development, has been appointed as Special Secretary to the Vice Chancellor thereby relieving Faheem Aslam, who was working as PRO to Vice Chancellor.

Before being appointed as Deputy Registrar at KU in 2013, Dr Tanveer Ahmad Shah was working as Deputy Registrar at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University and prior to that he was working as Sr. Manager–cum-Deputy Director JKEDI.
