Srinagar, Aug 09: The court of 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Srinagar on Thursday directed the prosecution to produce the witness in support of their allegation against a Pakistani national facing trial in connection with the murder of a police sub-inspector.

The accused Pakistani national Mohammad Ali was produced today before the court of 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Srinagar for hearing but no prosecution witness was present, following which he was again taken to the District jail Udhampur.

Ali, has been charged with the involvement in an attack on a Sub-Inspector near Dargah Hazratbal, which resulted in his death. Police had arrested two persons in connection with the murder, who disclosed about the involvement of Pak national. He was arrested in Bangalore in 2007 when he was allegedly trying to leave India.

The case has been listed for next hearing on Aug 29. The court has directed the prosecution to produce witnesses on the said date.
