MUMBAI: The Haj Committee of India has asked all selected pilgrims for Haj 2027 (1448 Hijri) to deposit the second instalment of Rs 1.25 lakh per pilgrim by November 30, warning that failure to meet the deadline may result in cancellation of their allotted seats.

According to a circular issued by the committee under the Ministry of Minority Affairs, pilgrims can make the payment online through its official website, www.hajcommittee.gov.in, or the Haj Suvidha App using credit cards, debit cards or net banking.

The amount can also be deposited at any branch of the State Bank of India or Union Bank of India through the prescribed pay-in-slip, using the unique Bank Reference Number allotted to each pilgrim cover.

The committee has advised pilgrims to ensure that the Bank Reference Number is mentioned on the deposit receipt to facilitate proper identification and processing of payments.

It said the third and final instalment would be determined after the expenses in India and Saudi Arabia are finalised. The remaining amount will be communicated to pilgrims subsequently.

The committee has urged all selected pilgrims to complete the payment process within the stipulated period, reiterating that non-payment of the second instalment by November 30 could lead to cancellation of their Haj seats.
