New Delhi: Taking objection to Amit Shah’s remark terming INDIA bloc’s November 1 rally a ‘Ghuspetiya Bachao’ event, the Congress on Thursday said the home minister is unable to handle his ministry and should consider moving back to being BJP chief.
Addressing a public rally after leading the BJP’s ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ march in Karnal, Shah said the November 1 event was not a “Vote Bachao” campaign but a “Ghuspetiya Bachao” rally. The prime minister, he added, has as a firm resolve for infiltrators – detect, delete and deport, “meaning identify them, cleanse the electoral rolls, and expel them from the country”.
Reacting to the remarks, Congress’ media and publicity department head Pawan Khera said, “Mota bhai, if the Home Ministry is beyond your control, why are you still clinging to that chair? In 7 years, the country’s 3 crore infiltrators haven’t been managed. Manipur hasn’t been under control for 3 years. Now even Arunachal Pradesh isn’t being managed.”
“Pulwama happened; Pahalgam happened; a blast occurred at the Red Fort; 300 kg of RDX was found right next to the national capital. It’s not in your league. Just let it go,” Khera said in his post in Hindi on X.
He said Shah should become BJP’s national president and take the “mobile circus” from Hyderabad to Karnal and the rest of India’s states.
“Bliss! No one will even question you. Why are you sinking the country’s ship by holding onto the Home Ministry?” he said.
“Poor Nitin Nabin is unable to things anyway. Set him free too. He’ll be happy, you’ll be happy. And the country, well, it’s already waiting to be rid of you. Anyway, as the saying goes, ‘jiska kaam usi ko saaje, aur kare toh…!” Khera said.
In his Karnal speech, Shah said it is the BJP’s resolve to identify and remove infiltrators from electoral rolls, unlike the INDIA bloc that seeks to protect infiltrators.
Terming Parliament the supreme place for debate in a democracy, he targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said, “Rahul ji, you don’t allow Parliament to run, you dont discuss issues… You have turned creating ruckus and resorting to boycotts into a Congress culture.”
