SRINAGAR: Traffic movement on Boulevard Road from Lalit Ghat to Kralsangri will remain restricted from 8:30 am on October 31 till the conclusion of the ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and Run for Unity’ event, Srinagar Traffic Police said on Friday.

According to the traffic advisory, motorists travelling towards Nishat, Shalimar and Harwan have been advised to use the Dal Gate-Rainawari-Hazratbal route instead of Boulevard Road.

Those travelling from Harwan, Shalimar and Nishat towards Lal Chowk have been asked to take the Foreshore-Hazratbal route instead of Nishat-Boulevard Road.

Motorists from Gulab Bagh, Zakura, Naseembagh, Habak and adjoining areas have been advised to use the Habak-Dargah-Khanyar route to reach Lal Chowk instead of Foreshore Road.

The Traffic Police has designated parking areas for participants at Police Golf Course, Royal Spring Golf Course, Jet Ski Point, Botanical Garden and Barista near Lalit Ghat.

Participants have been directed to park only at designated locations, while roadside parking has been prohibited. Vehicles found parked in violation of the restrictions will be towed.

Students appearing in examinations have been advised to plan their journeys in advance and follow the designated routes.

Emergency vehicles, including ambulances and fire tenders, will be allowed to use the shortest possible routes on priority.

For assistance, commuters can contact the Srinagar Traffic Police Control Room at Room No. 103.
