The meeting discussed the proposed installation of borewells, coordination among the departments concerned and measures required to implement the initiative effectively.

Shah stressed the need for coordinated efforts, proper planning and regular monitoring to strengthen irrigation infrastructure in areas largely dependent on rainfall.

He also emphasised the effective utilisation of resources to ensure that improved water availability supports agricultural and horticultural activities and helps address irrigation-related challenges faced by farmers.

The meeting concluded with a focus on coordinated action by the departments concerned to improve access to irrigation water in rainfed areas of Kashmir.
