He directed the executing agency to accelerate construction and ensure that all components were completed within the stipulated timelines without compromising on quality.

The deputy commissioner later inspected the additional accommodation block at Zila Sainik Welfare Bhawan, Batamaloo, which is being constructed to increase accommodation capacity and improve welfare facilities for eligible beneficiaries, particularly the wards of ex-servicemen and martyrs visiting Srinagar for educational purposes.

Officials informed him that more than 40 per cent of the civil works had been completed, with the ground floor finished and work underway on the first floor.

Labroo directed the concerned officers to expedite the remaining work so that the facility could be made functional at the earliest, improving accommodation and welfare support for beneficiaries.

The inspections were attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners Imtiyaz Ul Aziz and Aadil Fareed, Chief Planning Officer Fayaz Ahmad Dar, representatives of the Roads and Buildings Department, Srinagar Municipal and power-related departments, and other concerned officers.
