SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns in parts of Srinagar and adjoining areas between October 10 and 19 due to maintenance works on various 33 kV transmission lines.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, power supply to Sangam, Shanglipora, Tankanwari and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9 am to 3 pm on October 10 and 12 owing to the shutdown of the 33 kV Wanganpora-Tankanwari line.
Power supply to Kondabal, Hassanabad, Hazaribagh, JLNM Hospital, Jogilanker, Maqdoom Sahib, Miskeen Bagh, Rozbal and neighbouring areas will be affected from 9 am to 3 pm on October 12 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Wanganpora-Khanyar line.
Similarly, a shutdown of the 33 kV Wanganpora-Soura-SKIMS line will disrupt electricity supply to Upper Soura, 90 Feet, Zoonimar, Anchar, Bohlachpora and adjoining areas from 9 am to 3 pm on October 13 and 15.
KPDCL also said that power supply to KK Moulla, Nowpora, Bohrikadal, BB Shah, Bada Demb, Bishember Nagar, Gousia Hospital and nearby areas will remain affected from 9 am to 3 pm on October 15 and 19 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Bemina-Fateh Kadal line.
The utility advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements during the shutdown period.
