Srinagar: Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Thursday extended greetings to the people of Kashmir and beyond on the annual Urs of Hazrat Sheikh Noor-ud-din Noorani (RA), popularly known as Sheikh-ul-Alam.
In a message issued on the occasion, Bukhari described Sheikh-ul-Alam as a revered Sufi saint, mystic, poet and Islamic scholar whose teachings continue to inspire values of love, harmony and coexistence.
He said the shrine of Sheikh-ul-Alam at Charar-i-Sharief remains a symbol of spirituality and devotion and reflects Kashmir’s rich tradition of communal harmony and brotherhood.
Bukhari said the saint’s timeless teachings have influenced generations and continue to convey a message of peace, compassion and mutual respect.
He also urged devotees visiting the shrine during the Urs celebrations to pray for lasting peace, prosperity and stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
