Her strength my story, published by Swan Book Publishing House, is a memoir of a child being brought up by a single mother. This is a heartfelt tribute to an unwavering mother narrated by a son. It chronicles the struggles, resilience, and triumphs of a single mother. Shunain writes of her hardships and her courage, her dedication and her love and his unflinching love for her.

Growing up not with lullabies but with the constant clicking of keyboards, Shunain has witnessed life’s cruelties and pleasures closely enough to make readers cry and laugh, adore, and acknowledge. His story is both personal and universal: a reminder that no challenge can defeat a mother’s courage.

It also tells you about friendships, caring that demand nothing in return.

At the age of 11, Shunain started writing for Kashmir Images. He would write about music (as he plays guitar), sports (that is his another passion) and also about his day-to-day experiences.

At just 13, Syed Shunain, has stepped into the literary world with his very first book. Writing is his inheritance: born into a family of poets, reporters, and editors, he grew up surrounded by words and their power. His maternal great-grandfather, Late Fazil Kashmiri, who was one of the towering figures of Kashmiri poetry, continues to inspire Shunain’s pen. Fazil Kashmiri is the most celebrated poet of contemporary times.

His maternal grandfather, Late Syed Zeeshan Fazil was a renowned television personality and an acclaimed author who retired as Director Doordarshan Ranchi.

His mother, Zeenat Zeeshan Fazil, around whom the entire book revolves, is a veteran journalist who has vast experience in both print and electronic journalism.

The book is available at Amazon and Flipkart.
