SRINAGAR: Members of the Legislative Assembly Abdul Majeed Bhat and Irshad Rasool Kar on Tuesday met Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology and Environment, and Tribal Affairs Javed Ahmed Rana and raised various development-related issues concerning their respective constituencies.
During the meeting at the Civil Secretariat, the legislators highlighted issues related to water supply, infrastructure and other public utility services. They also sought timely completion of ongoing projects and execution of priority works to address local development needs.
According to an official statement, the MLAs apprised the minister of constituency-specific requirements and urged intervention for expediting developmental works.
Rana assured the legislators that the issues raised would be examined on priority and appropriate action would be taken for their resolution.
He emphasised the need for coordination between government departments and elected representatives to ensure effective implementation of development programmes and prompt redressal of public grievances.
The minister also directed concerned officials to examine the matters raised and take necessary action within stipulated timelines.
The statement said several residents from the concerned areas also met the minister and brought various local issues and development requirements to his notice.
