NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated Indian chess players for their performance at the 46th FIDE Chess Olympiad, praising their dedication and achievements in the sport.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said the players’ passion and determination were exemplary and expressed hope that their success would inspire more young people to take up chess.
“Congratulations to our Chess players! Their passion and determination are exemplary. May these successes motivate several more youngsters to play chess and excel,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister’s remarks came following India’s success at the 46th FIDE Chess Olympiad, one of the world’s premier international team chess competitions.
