JAMMU/SRINAGAR: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and workers across Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday listened to the 138th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat at various locations in the Union Territory.
J&K BJP president and Rajya Sabha member Sat Sharma, MLA Surinder Bhagat and district president Nand Kishore Sharma attended a listening programme at Galwade Chak in the Marh Assembly constituency along with party workers and local residents.
According to a BJP statement, Sharma said Mann Ki Baat had become a platform through which the Prime Minister connected with citizens and highlighted initiatives and achievements from different parts of the country. He urged party workers to take the programme’s message to the grassroots level.
Leader of Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Sunil Sharma also participated in a listening event at Patalnagh in Pampore, Pulwama district. He was accompanied by BJP vice-president Shahnaz Ganai, general secretary Mohammad Anwar Khan, Basohli MLA Darshan Singh, social media co-convenor Sajjad Raina and other party leaders.
Sunil Sharma said the programme promoted public participation by highlighting grassroots initiatives and national developments.
The BJP said listening sessions for the monthly broadcast were organised at multiple locations across Jammu and Kashmir.
