NUH (Haryana): Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Sunday attended the Samman Diwas programme in Nuh, Haryana, organised to mark the 113th birth anniversary of former Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhary Devi Lal.
Choudhary, along with Indian National Lok Dal leader Abhay Singh Chautala, paid tributes to Devi Lal during the event attended by political leaders, public representatives and participants from different parts of the country.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Chief Minister said Devi Lal was remembered for his work for farmers, workers and weaker sections of society. He said the former deputy prime minister’s public life was marked by his engagement with ordinary people and his focus on their concerns.
Choudhary said such occasions offered an opportunity to remember the contributions of leaders who devoted their lives to public service and to reflect on values of social responsibility and service to the people.
He also paid homage to Devi Lal and conveyed greetings to those attending the programme.
