BANDIPORA: Bandipora emerged champions of the Inter-District Union Territory-Level Under-14 Boys Handball Championship after defeating Baramulla in the final at SK Stadium, Bandipora, on Saturday.
The hosts secured the title in a closely contested match, while Baramulla finished runners-up. Kulgam claimed third place after defeating Jammu in the play-off for the third position.
Deputy Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Bandipora, Ab Majeed Rather, presented trophies to the winning, runner-up and third-placed teams at the closing ceremony.
The championship witnessed participation from teams representing districts across Jammu and Kashmir and was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
Officials said the event was aimed at promoting sporting talent, discipline, teamwork and competitive spirit among young players.
