JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma on Saturday reviewed the party’s ongoing Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan and directed party functionaries to strengthen its grassroots outreach and ensure greater public participation in the campaign.
The review meeting was held at the BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, and was attended by senior party leaders, including vice-presidents Rajiv Charak, Rakesh Mahajan, Rekha Mahajan and Rashpaul Verma, general secretaries Sanjita Dogra, Baldev Singh Billawaria and Gopal Mahajan, MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat and other office-bearers.
According to a party statement, the meeting reviewed programmes conducted under the month-long campaign across Jammu and Kashmir and assessed preparations for upcoming activities.
Sharma sought feedback on various programmes and stressed the need for coordination among party units for effective implementation of the campaign.
Addressing the meeting, Sharma said the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan should evolve into a sustained public outreach initiative rather than remain limited to scheduled events. He said party workers should maintain regular contact with people, understand local concerns and participate in service-oriented activities.
He also directed programme in-charges and senior leaders to ensure regular monitoring and timely execution of planned activities and said feedback from the field should be incorporated into the campaign’s implementation.
Gopal Mahajan, who is overseeing the campaign, briefed party leaders on the progress of the initiative and preparations for its next phase.
