ANANTNAG: A 10-year-old girl was injured after being attacked by a leopard near her residence in the Hayar area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday evening.
Officials said the leopard attacked the girl, identified as Zikra, daughter of Mohammad Yousuf Ganai of Hayar, leaving her injured.
She was initially taken to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bijbehara and was later referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for specialised treatment.
Meanwhile, local residents have urged the authorities to take preventive measures to avoid such incidents in the area. (KNO)
