SRINAGAR: Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Abdul Rahim Rather on Monday announced the Panel of Chairmen for the ongoing Autumn Session, while the House Committee probing alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in Jammu and Kashmir presented its report in the Assembly.
The Speaker nominated MLA Eidgah Mubarik Gul, MLA Samba Surjeet Singh Slathia and MLA Bandipora Nizam-ud-Din Bhat as members of the Panel of Chairmen. The panel will preside over House proceedings in the absence of the Speaker.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the House Committee, Justice (Retd) Hasnain Masoodi, laid on the Table of the House a copy of the committee’s report on the alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission in the Union Territory.
The House Committee had been constituted on April 9, 2025, to examine issues related to the execution of the flagship drinking water scheme. The report was formally presented during the proceedings of the Autumn Session.
