NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated Indian shooter Elavenil Valarivan for winning the silver medal in the women’s 10m air rifle individual event at the Asian Games.
In a post on X, Modi said Indian shooters continued to make the country proud and praised Valarivan for securing her second medal of the day.
“Congrats to Elavenil Valarivan for winning a Silver Medal in the 10m Air Rifle Women Individual event at the Asian Games. This was her second medal of the day, making this even more special,” the Prime Minister said.
He also extended his best wishes to the shooter for her future competitions.
Valarivan’s silver added to India’s medal tally at the Asian Games and marked her second podium finish of the day.
