KATHUA: Kick Off Seniors and Hiranagar Football Club advanced to the final of the Kathua Football League 2026 after winning their respective semifinal matches at the Sports Ground of Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua on Sunday.
In the first semifinal, Kick Off Seniors thrashed Sunday Football Club 8-1 in a one-sided contest. Jimmy and Gourav scored two goals each, while Rohit also struck a brace. Aman and Jatinder added a goal apiece to complete the rout.
Hiranagar Football Club secured the second berth in the final with a 2-0 victory over Flote Football Club in the other semifinal. Aryan and Lalit scored one goal each for Hiranagar FC.
With the wins, Kick Off Seniors and Hiranagar FC will face each other in the final scheduled to be played on Sunday.
The Kathua Football League 2026 is being organised by the District Administration Kathua under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan. The tournament seeks to promote sports and fitness among youth and encourage healthy, drug-free lifestyles through constructive engagement in sporting activities.
