Srinagar: National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah will chair the ruling party’s legislature meeting here on September 20, the eve of the autumn session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, party chief whip Mubarik Gul said on Saturday.
In a letter to party MLAs, Gul said the meeting will also be attended by Independents supporting the government.
“I am directed to inform you that a meeting of the Hon’ble members of the Legislative Assembly belonging to the J&K National Conference and the independent members supporting the government will be held under the chairmanship of Dr Farooq Abdullah, in presence of Omar Abdullah, leader of legislature party and Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday,” the chief whip said.
The autumn session of the assembly will begin on Monday and have seven sittings spread over 10 days.
