SRINAGAR: A delegation of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region on Friday met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and discussed issues related to skill development, employment generation and industrial growth in Jammu and Kashmir.
The delegation was led by CII Northern Region Chairman Puneet Kaura and included CII J&K UT Council Chairman Iqram Ali Shafiee, Vice Chairman Siddhant Choudhary, Regional Director (Northern Region) Rachna Jindal and Director, CII J&K UT Council, Khurshid Dar.
According to an official statement, the delegation shared CII’s views on increasing industry participation in skill development programmes and supporting initiatives aimed at creating employment opportunities and promoting industrial development in the Union Territory.
The meeting also discussed matters related to industry policy reforms and strengthening engagement between industry stakeholders and the government.
