KATHUA: Sunday FC and Hiranagar FC recorded convincing victories in the Kathua Football League 2026 at the Government Degree College (GDC) Sports Ground here on Wednesday.
In the day’s opening match, Sunday FC thrashed Kharote FC 6-0. Sushant scored a hat-trick, while Amit Malhotra netted twice and Raghuvir Singh added another goal.
Hiranagar FC also registered a dominant 5-0 win over Chandwan FC in the second match. Lalit struck twice, while Aryan, Aniket and Dhruv scored one goal each.
The tournament, organised by the District Administration Kathua under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, features 12 teams and aims to promote sports and youth engagement.
League action will continue on Wednesday with DPS FC facing Khelo India, followed by FC UK taking on Shadow Strikers.
