ACS reviews transit accommodation works in Kupwara

KUPWARA: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Public Works (Roads and Buildings) Department, Anil Kumar Singh, on Saturday inspected the transit accommodation complex at Kulangam in Kupwara district and reviewed the progress of ongoing development works.

Singh, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Shrikant Suse and officials of the concerned departments and executing agencies, assessed the status of various projects being carried out at the facility.

Officials briefed the ACS on the progress of construction works, execution timelines and civic amenities being provided to residents of the transit accommodation.

During the visit, Singh directed the executing agencies to complete the remaining buildings while maintaining existing standards of construction quality, planning and design. He also instructed officials to focus on plantation, landscaping and the development of parks and green spaces within the colony.

The ACS asked departments to work in coordination to ensure the early availability of essential civic and basic facilities for residents.

According to officials, the inspection was aimed at reviewing the pace and quality of development works and ensuring timely completion of infrastructure projects at the transit accommodation complex.
