JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday reviewed preparations for its upcoming “Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan” and directed party functionaries to ensure the campaign reaches every village, panchayat and booth across the Union Territory.

The review meeting, held at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, was chaired by BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul and attended by senior party leaders, including Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, Rajya Sabha MP Ghulam Ali Khatana, former Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh and other office-bearers.

According to the BJP, the meeting assessed preparations for 11 programmes planned under the campaign and reviewed responsibilities assigned to in-charges and co-in-charges.

Addressing the meeting, Koul said the campaign was intended to promote service and public engagement and directed party workers to strengthen outreach at the grassroots level.

Jugal Kishore Sharma called on party workers to maximise participation in activities planned under the campaign, including blood donation drives, which he described as an important public service initiative.

Khatana said the campaign should reflect the party’s commitment to social service and public welfare, while encouraging wider public participation in its programmes.

Dr Nirmal Singh said the campaign should focus on creating awareness about civic responsibility and national development.

During the meeting, BJP General Secretary and campaign in-charge Gopal Mahajan reviewed programme-wise preparations and discussed arrangements for activities scheduled in the coming weeks, including events planned on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17 and the proposed Sewa Jyoti Yatra on October 7.
