A commemorative function was later held at Lone Manzil, Sogam, where speakers recalled the late leader’s contributions in the political, social and religious spheres.

Addressing the gathering, Qaiser Jamsheed Lone described Mushtaq Ahmad Lone as a lawyer and public figure who, according to him, carried out his responsibilities with dedication and integrity. He said the late leader’s political and social work continued to inspire party workers and supporters.

He also termed Lone’s death a significant loss for the National Conference and urged party workers to remain committed to organisational activities and future challenges.

Meanwhile, a separate remembrance meeting was held at the National Conference headquarters in Srinagar under the chairmanship of the party’s General Secretary, Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar.

Senior party leaders, including Provincial President Advocate Showkat Ahmad Mir, Provincial Secretary Syed Touqeer Ahmad and Srinagar District President Pir Afaq Ahmad, attended the meeting and paid tributes to the former leader, recalling his contributions to the party and public life.
