Officials identified the trio as Junaid Ahmad Dar, Amir Yousif and Junaid Muzaffer, all residents of Kulgam. They were reportedly travelling on a motorcycle when they were intercepted.

The recovered material has been seized and further investigation is underway, officials said.

In a separate operation in Pulwama, security forces arrested two alleged terror associates and recovered a pistol, 12 rounds of ammunition and a hand grenade from their possession.

According to officials, the operation was launched in the Yarwan forest area of CB Nath in Rajpora by Pulwama Police in coordination with the Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles and 183 Battalion CRPF following specific intelligence inputs.

During the search operation, joint teams intercepted two suspects moving towards CB Nath village from the forest area and took them into custody.

They were identified as Latif Ahmad Deedad of Lassi Daban and Aejaz Ahmad Bajad of Bun Kha Bamnoo.

Police said a case under relevant sections of the Arms Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act has been registered at Police Station Rajpora, and further investigation is in progress.
