SRINAGAR: The Forum for Human Rights in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday presented its annual report, “Seven Years Under Union Rule – With a Special Section on Ladakh & Pakistan-held Territories of Jammu and Kashmir (August 2025–July 2026),” to Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, in Srinagar.
The Forum, led by Radha Kumar and Kapil Kak, briefed Abdullah and other National Conference leaders on the report’s findings and observations relating to governance, democratic institutions, human rights and the overall socio-political situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting was attended by National Conference General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, party legislators, office-bearers, in-charges of various parent and youth wings, and members of the media.
According to a party statement, Dr Abdullah thanked the Forum members for presenting the report and said the National Conference would study it in detail. He said independent reports contribute to informed public discourse by presenting objective and unbiased findings.
