Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha on Sunday reviewed its organisational activities and finalised preparations for the upcoming Har Ghar Tiranga and Tiranga Yatra campaigns at a meeting held at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The meeting was chaired by J&K BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma and presided over by Mahila Morcha president Advocate Neha Mahajan. Mahila Morcha Prabhari Veenu Khanna, Seh Prabhari Shailja Gupta, office-bearers and executive members attended the meeting.
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma said the Mahila Morcha had played an important role in the party’s organisational and public outreach activities. He urged women workers to lead the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and strengthen grassroots outreach by expanding the organisation at the booth level and increasing awareness about Central Government welfare schemes.
Veenu Khanna emphasised greater participation of women in social and political activities and called for effective implementation of party programmes and wider dissemination of government welfare initiatives.
Advocate Neha Mahajan presented a report on the Mahila Morcha’s activities over the past month and outlined future plans to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level. She said women have a key role in nation-building and organisational expansion.
Mahila Morcha General Secretary Urvashi Gupta conducted the proceedings, while General Secretary Geeta Bhagat proposed the vote of thanks.
