Pulwama: The District Administration Pulwama, in collaboration with MY Bharat, on Sunday organised a programme at the Circuit House to join the nationwide launch of the “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan.”
The event featured a live telecast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address marking the launch of the 100-week nationwide campaign against substance abuse, aimed at encouraging youth to adopt healthy lifestyles and promote awareness against drug addiction.
The programme was attended by officials from the civil administration, police and defence, along with representatives of MY Bharat, the National Service Scheme (NSS), youth clubs, schools, colleges, non-governmental organisations, industry associations, spiritual organisations and students from across the district.
Speaking on the occasion, officials highlighted the role of young people in combating substance abuse and called for greater community participation to make the anti-drug campaign a mass movement.
The programme concluded with participants taking a pledge to support the Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign and work towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
