Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council has announced open selection trials for the Junior Boys Football Team that will represent the Union Territory in the Junior Boys National Football Championship for the Dr B.C. Roy Trophy 2026-27, to be held under the aegis of the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
According to the Sports Council, division-level trials will be conducted on July 31 and August 1 at the Mini Stadium Synthetic Turf, Parade Ground, Jammu, for players from the Jammu division, and at the Synthetic Turf Football Stadium, TRC, Srinagar, for players from the Kashmir division.
The final Union Territory-level trials for shortlisted players from both divisions will be held on August 3 and 4 at the TRC Football Stadium in Srinagar.
Players born between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2012 are eligible to participate. Applicants must be residents of Jammu and Kashmir and produce their original birth certificate, Aadhaar card with a recent photograph and two passport-sized photographs, along with photocopies of the required documents for verification.
Participants have been asked to report in full playing kit, including jersey, shorts, stockings, shin guards and football boots. No travel or daily allowance will be provided for attending the trials.
The selected players will attend a coaching camp in Srinagar before the final squad is announced. They may also be required to undergo bone age verification tests in accordance with AIFF guidelines, the Sports Council said.
