The committee has been tasked with examining all medical records related to the case, including treatment sheets, investigation reports, nursing notes and consent forms.

It will also assess whether the patient’s deteriorating condition was managed appropriately, whether post-delivery monitoring was carried out in accordance with prescribed protocols, and whether there was any delay in treatment or surgical intervention.

The panel has also been asked to determine whether any medical negligence or procedural lapses occurred, fix responsibility where warranted and recommend measures to prevent similar incidents in future.

The Principal of SKIMS Medical College Hospital, Bemina, has been directed to provide all relevant records and extend full cooperation to the inquiry committee.

The committee has been asked to submit its report to the government within 15 days.
