Srinagar: Police attached an immovable property worth approximately Rs 2.74 crore belonging to a drug peddler here under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, a police spokesperson said on Saturday.
He said the action is part of a sustained crackdown on drug trafficking under the Nasha Mukti Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, a 100-day campaign to eradicate the drug menace.
The attached property comprises a double-storeyed residential house, land and appurtenances belonging to the accused Mubashir Ahmad Hakeem, a resident of Awanta Bhawan, Soura, the spokesperson said.
The attachment has been carried out in connection with FIR No. 142/2025 registered under Sections 8/22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Safakadal, he said.
