Srinagar: A 59-year-old woman was killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle near JVC Hospital in the Bemina area of Srinagar on Thursday, officials said.
The woman, identified as Jameela Bano, wife of Ali Mohammad Rather of Kanih Gund, Budgam, sustained critical injuries in the accident and was taken to JVC Hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify the vehicle involved in the incident, officials said.
