Srinagar: Police in Kulgam, in coordination with the Revenue department, have attached immovable properties with an estimated market value of approximately ₹1.50 crores belonging to alleged drug peddlers, a police spokesperson informed Wednesday.
He said the attached properties comprises three residential houses belonging to Ikhlaq Mubarak of Amnoo; Aqib Mubarak Dar of Brazloo; and Showkat Ahmad Rather of Ashmuji, Kulgam.
He said the properties have been attached “in accordance with the relevant provisions of law pursuant to the orders of the competent authority”, and reflects the firm commitment of police to ensure that “proceeds of crime and properties linked to unlawful activities are dealt with strictly in accordance with the law”.
