JAMMU: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, on Thursday interacted with public delegations and individuals at the Civil Secretariat, Jammu, and assured them of timely redressal of their grievances.

During the public outreach programme, delegations representing various areas and sectors apprised the Minister of issues related to healthcare infrastructure, educational facilities, social welfare schemes, public utilities and other developmental requirements. Several individuals also met the Minister and sought intervention on matters concerning their localities.

Giving a patient hearing to the delegations and individuals, Sakeena Itoo reiterated the government’s commitment to responsive, transparent and people-centric governance.

She said public engagement remains an essential pillar of effective administration as it helps ensure that developmental policies remain aligned with the needs and aspirations of the people.

Highlighting the government’s focus on strengthening grassroots governance, the Minister said regular interactions with citizens provide valuable insights into local challenges and enable the administration to devise practical and inclusive solutions.

She added that improving last-mile service delivery and enhancing accountability at every level continue to remain among the government’s key priorities.

The Minister assured all delegations and individuals that their genuine concerns and issues would be examined and addressed on priority.
