MLA, public deputations call on Javed Rana

Srinagar: MLA Lolab Qaiser Jamsheed Lone, along with several public deputations and individuals from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir, on Monday called on Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, at the Civil Secretariat and projected various developmental issues and public welfare concerns.

During the meeting, the legislator apprised the Minister of several constituency-related matters and sought intervention for augmentation of public infrastructure, improvement of water supply schemes, strengthening of irrigation facilities and execution of other developmental works in the Lolab area.

The MLA also highlighted the need for timely completion of ongoing projects and early resolution of issues affecting public service delivery. He raised several demands related to improving civic amenities and strengthening basic infrastructure in the constituency.

Besides the legislator, a number of deputations and individuals from different areas met the Minister and projected their grievances and developmental demands.

A delegation from the Pir Panjal region raised issues concerning the execution of works under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and sought the Minister’s intervention to ensure timely completion of projects and uninterrupted progress of works being undertaken under the flagship programme.

Another delegation highlighted the need for blacktopping of roads in their locality and brought several civic and developmental issues to the notice of the Minister for redressal.

Representatives from different parts of Kashmir also projected issues related to road connectivity, power supply, healthcare facilities, drinking water supply, pending development projects and other local concerns requiring government attention.

The Minister gave a patient hearing to all deputations and individuals and assured them that their genuine concerns and demands would be examined on priority.

Reiterating the government’s commitment towards responsive governance and timely redressal of public grievances, Javed Rana said that efforts are being made to ensure effective delivery of public services and accelerated development across all regions.

The Minister also directed the concerned officers to take necessary follow-up action on the issues raised during the meetings and ensure their prompt redressal.
