Woman detained under PSA in Baramulla

Srinagar: Police in Baramulla have detained a woman under the Jammu & Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA), a police spokesperson informed Saturday.

He said Haseena Begum, wife of Mohammad Yousf Bhat of Sheeri Baramulla, was detained for being “involved in multiple cases linked to unlawful and anti-national activities”.

The detention was carried out following an order issued by the District Magistrate, Baramulla, based on her involvement in several criminal cases registered across different districts.

Acting on the warrant, police took the detenue into preventive custody and lodged her in District Jail Bhaderwah.
