Srinagar: The Army foiled an alleged exfiltration bid by apprehending three persons in north Kashmir’s Uri sector, officials said on Sunday.
The Srinagar-based Chinar Corps said a joint operation by the Army and police was launched in the Uri area of Baramulla district based on intelligence inputs on Saturday.
“Two individuals from Sopore apprehended by vigilant Chinar Warriors while attempting exfiltration in Uri Sector with inimical intent along with their accomplice guide. Further probe underway,” the Chinar Corps said in a post on X.
Officials identified the apprehended persons as Adil Hussain, Ishfaq Lone and Jaffar Hafiz.
